Meet Gaby

Chef by day and powerlifter by night; Gaby has always had a passion for food, spending hours upon hours experimenting in the kitchen since she was young. In 2017, she decided to make it her career when she left her corporate engineering job to attend culinary school at the Institute of Culinary Education in NYC. She spent several years refining her cooking skills in NYC kitchens, such as Gramercy Tavern and Untitled at the Whitney, before taking on Power Plate full time in February 2020. As a nationally competitive powerlifter, Gaby has 8+ years of personal experience with performance-based nutrition, which she now combines with her culinary skills to create delicious and macro-friendly meals.

Meet Shane

Powerlifter by day and chef by night; over the years, cooking has become Shane's main hobby outside of the gym. As a powerlifter, strength coach, and personal trainer with over 14 years of experience, Shane applies his professional nutrition background on a daily basis to help clients achieve both performance and aesthetic-based goals. He has spent the last 4 years honing his cooking skills and learning everything he can from Gaby. As Power Plate’s sous chef, he now creates several recipes of his own and has come incredibly close to perfecting his famous chili.
